The Police reform bill has scaled the third reading of the Nigerian
Senate and has subsequently been passed today, 17th April, for the first
time since 1943 when the original bill was formulated.
The new Police reform bill would take into account the welfare,
safety and well being of the Police officers. It would also take into
consideration the likely punishment for a police officer who kills an
innocent citizen of the country.
